Frankly, I’m tired of the whining about the Mets’ financial issues. This includes articles about the payroll written with the intention to get a rise out of the cry babies unrealistically hoping 1 billion dollars will magically appear on the Mets doorstep.
It sucks for sure, but we have known for months publicly (and could read the writing on the wall for over a year) that the payroll was going to be around 90 million.
Translation…this is old news. Stop beating a dead horse. Leave it be until something actually develops. Andrew Marchand from ESPN New York asking us today if we are okay with a 90 million dollar payroll is a classic case of writing something just for the sake of writing something.
Fans, facts are facts. Deal with it. We have a choice as consumers. Either stop buying tickets and stop watching, or just shut up. At least that way we can keep a little bit of dignity. We are well on our way to being perceived by other baseball fans like these guys…
